Atelier Bassi at IMATS Los Angeles 2018
The international make-up artist trade show (IMATS) is the world’s largest celebration of make-up artistry. Thousands of make-up artists, exhibitors and enthusiasts collect, discuss and display the very best the industry has to offer. Award-winning make-up professionals from film and fashion provide demonstrations and information on many new products, some of which are exclusively premiered at IMATS. In addition, IMATS features a make-up museum and the ‘Battle of the Brushes’, a student make-up competition where international contestants compete in creating winning looks.
Before the first IMATS there were no trade shows specifically for the make-up industry even though cosmetic companies had expressed a desire for such an event. In response, Emmy Award-winning makeup artist and Make-Up Artist magazine publisher Michael Key held the first IMATS in August 1997 in Los Angeles. It allowed artists to customize what they wish to see and offered a diverse mix of products, demonstrations and education from industry leaders. IMATS expanded to Europe in 2002 with the debut of IMATS London. Continuing its commitment to artists around the world, Make-Up Artist magazine acquired the Canadian Make-up Show and launched IMATS Toronto. Continuing this trend, that same year IMATS Sydney was launched as well as IMATS Vancouver in the following year.
Atelier Bassi was the first wig company to participate in early IMATS exhibitions and now, after many years, we are back! In an effort to strengthen the connection to our valued client base, and in order to inform potential clients in the United States, we have set out to bring the craftsmanship of Atelier Bassi to the IMATS audience. We are looking forward to seeing all of you and welcome you to find us at the IMATS Los Angeles, January 12-14, 2018 at booth #809 in Hall ONE of the Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena California. There you’ll have the exclusive chance of winning a one-week holiday trip to Bali, Indonesia, including a visit to our wig production.
